With tears in my eyes I tried to comprehend that there will be a temple in Rome. Finally! I am so happy for my brothers and sisters in Italy who have had to drive all the way to Switzerland to attend the temple.
Auguri Anziano! Yes, fianlly. I was so emotional today when they annouced it. I can't wait to go and see a temple in the city I spent 9 months of my mission in. I am so excited for the Italians, and more excited for the temple work that will effect my Italian geneology.
We should start saving now (assuming I'm employed in the near future) and make a trip over there for the dedication. Annette and I dream about going over there - and that is a great reason to do it.
At any rate, it would be great to go over there sometime with someone who knows the layout.
I'm glad to hear that others are as excited as I am. Did you hear the gasp from the audience? A temple, in the HEART of the Catholic body! Wow. It's still hard to believe.
I was on the phone to all my family the minute conference was over. I am so excited. I want to go back and take my neighbors through the open house. Maybe with all of us that want to go over we can book a whole plane to ourselves!!!!
AWESOME! I told Jen & Dave on their blog that we'd like to join you on a trip to Italy for the dedication, and for a session! Can we come too? Neither of us speak Italian ... well, John claims he does, but dating your BYU Italian teacher doesn't really count, right?
Grazie Dan! Se tutti voi ex missionari siete così emozionati, figurati noi qui in Italia!! Non vedo l'ora che potremo andare insieme al Tempio di Roma!

I wish my Dan could have heard the announcement, he served there too. I can't wait to tell him when I talk to him next.
It's very awesome.
