For New Year's Eve, we had a get together at the Barney's house with some friends in our ward and with Danny's best friend from childhood, Gary & his brother, Ryan, who were in town for the holiday. The Barneys have an amazing back yard and the guys had a great time on the tire swing. We played games, ate tons and laughed a lot. It was a really fun night!

The
grapes in the photos are from a Spanish tradition I read about. I read to freeze them and eat them as quickly as possible at midnight, and each one represents a month in the New Year. The sweet ones represented months of good luck, the sour the opposite. Since the Barneys live so close, we put our kids to bed and transported them sleeping, but Claire didn't fall asleep. She was up with the other babies and went to bed about 10 p.m. I bought poppers to do at midnight and told Carter he could do some. At midnight, I didn't have the heart to wake him up, AND I forgot to save him any! It was so sad when he woke up on the way home. I had to go to three stores on New Year's Day to find more and paid way too much for the jumbo pack but we still have some at home for special occasions:)

Please tell Gary and Ryan AGAIn that we SO appreciated their muscles in helping us move while they were in town.
Bro, I was actually pretty toasted, there may have been no alchy there, but those grapes were crazy fermented. I had a blast, let's do it again next year!
